Questions about Stay Guardian.
Key information for hosts, serviced accommodation operators and property-management teams.
What is included in the Stay Guardian package?
The proposed package combines a connected lock box, Sense Guardian occupancy technology, one centrally installed EM8 Hub and access to the Stay Guardian management portal.
Does Stay Guardian use an indoor camera?
No. The product is designed around privacy-first occupancy awareness rather than indoor video or audio recording.
Will I need Wi-Fi hotspots in every room?
No. The intended installation uses one EM8 Hub in a suitable central position, such as the living room or hallway, rather than multiple hotspots throughout the property.
Can each guest have a different code?
Yes. A unique code can be scheduled around the guest’s authorised booking period and expire after checkout.
Can cleaners have their own code?
Yes. Cleaner and maintenance access can be separated from guest access, helping create a clearer audit history.
Can Stay Guardian count the exact number of guests?
The initial proposition should focus on occupied or vacant operational status. Exact headcount should not be promised unless it has been fully validated for the property type and installation.
Can it manage multiple apartments?
Yes. The portal is intended to provide a portfolio-level view while retaining individual booking, access and status information for each property.
Does it integrate directly with Airbnb?
The platform can begin with manually managed bookings and calendar-based workflows. Direct integrations can be introduced subject to the relevant platform and property-management-system requirements.
What happens if the internet connection fails?
The final deployment specification can include offline behaviour, local code handling and connectivity alerts. These arrangements would be confirmed as part of the installation design.
